This implies understanding the cedant’s issues and challenges and translating them into appropriate terms to structure a suitable reinsurance program.
Whether it is for capital protection or profitability purposes we are committed to analyzing the risks thanks to the analytical services provided by the actuarial department (with the ressources of Risk Explorer tool), in close collaboration with the commercial department.
As soon as the structure is defined, the reinsurance conditions are negotiated with the most competent specialized reinsurers in the field concerned, and the placement is carried out, most often by distinguishing an appropriate strategy, which mixes lead and follow reinsurers.
The accounting department is responsible for the accounting and financial follow-up throughout the existence of the treaties and manages the related exchanges between the ceding company and the reinsurers. It is thus the guardian of the proper execution of the reinsurance program.
