PRAM
The PRAM (Program of Reinsurance for American Mutuals) was created in 1983 in order to respond to a specific need for capacity emanating from American brokers. Year after year, PRAM has established itself as a recognized player in this field and confirms our expertise in placing and managing non-proportional property treaties.
PRAM provides brokers with a rapid, high quality access to a recognized capacity, without impacting their brokerage. The reinsurance members of PRAM, for their part, benefit from a simple administrative and accounting structure, entirely managed by our teams, with access to all the information needed to follow effectively each contract, the aggregate exposures in each state and the development of losses and statistics.
Today, the PRAM is composed of 9 members, with the fronting assumed by SiriusPoint International, who has sole responsibility for the underwriting. It represents a portfolio of approximately 160 treaties from 40 ceding companies through regional offices of reinsurance brokers.
